The Miller Outdoor Theatre is an open-air theater located in Houston’s museum district and hosts a number of free shows and performances throughout the year. The venue’s schedule includes classical music, ethnic music and dance, Shakespeare, classic films, musical theatre and ballet performances throughout the year, and visitors can enjoy a pre-performance picnic on the hillside near the park.

In addition to enjoying the free performances at the Miller Outdoor Theatre, visitors can head to Hermann Park to enjoy arts exhibits, sculptures and other special arts events throughout the year. The venue has become Houston’s premier outdoor theater.

Getting to the Miller Outdoor Theatre

Visitors can use public transportation to get to the Miller Outdoor Theatre and Hermann Park. Hermann Park is one of Houston’s most-visited public parks and is within walking distance to the Museum District. If you want to explore some of downtown Houston’s popular attractions, you can head to the museum District and other sites around the park before a show at the Miller Outdoor Theatre.
